After receiving the first prize in oboe and chamber music at the Paris Conservatory in the classes of JL Capezzali, Jacques Tys and David Walter, Nora Cismondi studies with Maurice Bourgue.
Winner of international competitions such as the Prague Spring (2001), Toulon (2002), ARD München (2003), Tokyo SonyMusic Foundation (2006), she performed as soloist in many European theaters (Camerata Basel, Radio Symphony Orchestra of Munich, Chamber Orchestra of Mantova, Chamber Orchestra of Auvergne …).
Recognized by her peers, she was appointed Revelation classic Adami at the 2005 Midem in Cannes, and, after seven seasons with the orchestra of the Paris Opera, Nora Cismondi joined the Orchestre National de France in 2006 as Principal Oboe.
She is also a regular guest of famous orchestras like LSO, Santa Cecilia, Chamber Orchestra of Europe, Mahler Chamber Orchestra as well as the Budapest Festival Orchestra.
Nora Cismondi helds her teaching certificate since 2006 and shared her experience in various master classes throughout Europe and Asia; she will be the lecturer of the oboe class at Paris CRR from September 2012 on and already teaches at the London Guildhallschool of Music as a guest professor since 2011.
She registered a disc with Florent Héau and the Prague Chamber Orchestra playing the concerting symphony of Mozart (Transart Live).
