视频中这位演奏者叫刘雯雯， 是上海音乐学院“90后”青年教师，被称为中国首位唢呐博士。最近，一段她用唢呐演奏《百鸟朝凤》的视频在网络上不断传播，也让更多人了解到中国传统艺术。
出生唢呐之家 曾拒绝吹唢呐
1990年，刘雯雯出生在山东济宁一个唢呐之家。父亲是山东鲁西南小铜唢呐第七代传人，母亲是唢呐咔戏第十二代传人，“母亲的祖先从明末清初就开始吹奏唢呐”。

刘雯雯从小就跟着父母到处演出，除了唢呐，她还接触到非常多中国戏曲和民间音乐。
Besidessuona,Liu has also learned traditional Chinese vocal music and dancing, skills that have improved her oral muscles and sense of rhythm and equipped her as a professional musician.
在家庭的熏陶下，她三四岁时就拿起了唢呐。“那时候手还特别小，拿唢呐都不容易，但已经开始吹着玩。”
Despite her reluctance, she followed her parents into the trade at three years old, "just for fun."
4岁时，父母要求她学吹唢呐。但是，唢呐是一种穿透力很强的乐器。为了不打扰邻居，每天早晨4点，刘雯雯就被妈妈叫起床，去附近公园练习吹唢呐。
The music is ingrained in Liu's DNA, but it takes time and hard work to become a virtuoso musician. The instrument is so loud that it annoyed the neighbors when she practiced at home. "So my parents would wake me up at 4 amevery day and take me to practice outside in a park."
小时候的她，一度很排斥吹唢呐，觉得女孩子吹唢呐就像耍大刀一样“土得掉渣”。而她最喜欢的，还是跳舞和弹钢琴。
不止她自己有这样的想法，班级里很多同学见她登台表演后，曾嘲笑她，说她家是干红白喜事的。听到这些，她内心一下子崩塌了，这也是她当时遇到最大的打击。从那以后，她再也不说自己是吹唢呐的了。
Her peers at primary school laughed at her, saying her whole family was engaged only in "weddings and funerals".Indeed, these are the two major occasions where the horn-like wind instrument is played in China's rural areas, including Liu's home city Jining, in east China's Shandong province.
Liu felt ashamed. In the 1990s, China's reform and opening-up drive was in full swing, and people admired things that were modern and international. "Suona, in comparison, was considered an art of the hillbilly."
后来，这样的想法终于因为一段录音而改变。当她听到“中国现代唢呐第一人”刘英老师的唢呐乐曲录音时，她豁然开朗，不禁感叹原来唢呐可以吹得那么美。自此以后，她发自内心想去学习唢呐。2008年，刘雯雯考上了上海音乐学院，跟随刘英学习唢呐。
She foundsuonamusic beautiful for the first time in 2008, when she entered Shanghai Conservatory of Music to learn the instrument more systematically from ProfessorLiu Ying, a top player.
"The music played by ProfessorLiu is just amazing, and different from what I heard before," she said.

长期吹唢呐，她“吹”出了腹肌
对演奏者而言，吹唢呐可是个体力活。这不仅考验演奏者的肺活量和体力，对嘴周边肌肉群控制能力也有极高要求。
“这个肌肉群力量会迅速消失，需要坚持长时间训练，如果几天不练习，可能一首5分钟的曲子都吹不下来”。由于长期练习唢呐，刘雯雯就这样吹出了自己的腹肌。不仅如此，直到现在，在密集的演出安排下，刘雯雯仍然每天坚持吹唢呐6个小时以上。
经过不懈努力，刘雯雯拿到了唢呐硕士学位。2018年，她选择留校任教。2020年，怀着对唢呐的热爱，她继续攻读唢呐博士学位。
While she followed her parents to play thesuonaas a child, she only fell in love with the instrument at university. The firstsuonaplayer to study for a doctor's degree, Liu is also teaching at her alma mater in Shanghai.
从“学唢呐”到“教唢呐”，刘雯雯的身份发生了转变，她也有了新的思考。她说，“我很享受和年轻人共同进步的过程，他们不仅对自身的艺术水平有很高要求，而且总是大胆、尽情地尝试民族音乐的更多可能。”身为“90后”、执教“00后”，如何让年轻人爱上民乐，也成为刘雯雯思考的问题。
She loves exchanging ideas aboutsuonaplaying techniques with her students. "It's wonderful to see the younger generation carrying on the cultural heritage."
Liu said she is delighted to seesuonamusic regaining popularity among the young people, sometimes even combined with jazz, opera and other art forms. This is a reverse from its decline in the 1990s.
带着“土”气的乐器上“洋”气的舞台
读研期间，一次为谭盾作品录音的机会让她认识了谭盾。听说了刘雯雯和唢呐的故事后，谭盾甚为感动，为她重新编配了管弦乐队版的《百鸟朝凤》，带着刘雯雯开始了世界巡演。
On China's social media platforms, her name is often followed by a video of her live performance at a concert in Sydney, Australia, alongside award-winning composer Tan Dun in 2017. For her debut on the international stage, she was playing "Hundreds of Birds Paying Homage to Phoenix," a masterpiece that often represents excellence insuonaperformance.

带着“土”气的民间乐器，她走上了“洋”气的国际舞台。一曲《百鸟朝凤》惊艳全场，台下观众对她的表演赞不绝口。她让更多人看到了中国音乐的独特韵味。
Liu, however, promoted the "hillbilly" music to an international audience, thanks to Tan and his team, who recomposed the traditional music and arranged the piece into an orchestra.
The audience was truly impressed. The Westerners were amazed by the loud, unfamiliar instrument and its exotic, colorful music that imitated the chirping of hundreds of birds, whereas the Chinese were stirred by nostalgia.
小小的唢呐，给她强大的力量
在悉尼演出《百鸟朝凤》后，刘雯雯的舞台生涯打开了新的大门。
她发现，唢呐与希望管弦乐团合作时毫无障碍，而且深得外国同行和观众喜爱，这让她有很强的使命感。
由此，刘雯雯的思路更加开阔，也激发了她想要进一步探索唢呐的动力。在创作方面，她开始尝试不同风格的“跨界”组合，将交响、爵士、摇滚与唢呐结合，不断拓宽唢呐的边界，探索更多可能性。
“其实唢呐可以演奏不同类型、不同风格的音乐，在这种过程中，无形中会改变大家觉得唢呐‘土’的看法。”
小小的一支唢呐，给予了她强大的能量。如今，在她看来，唢呐终于不再是“土”得掉渣的乐器了，已经成为她生活的一部分。前二十多年的努力并没有白费，如今她获得了越来越多人的认可，也让中国传统音乐登上了国际舞台。
"It was a seamless dialogue between a hillbilly Chinese instrument and a Western orchestra, loved by the musicians and audience alike," she said. "I felt my hard work had paid off. I trained for over 20 years, probably just to win cheers and applause for traditional Chinese music on the international stage."
她也可以自豪地告诉别人，自己是一名唢呐演奏者。“世界音乐，一定不能少了唢呐的音乐。我想要唢呐登上更大的舞台，向世界讲述中国唢呐的故事。”
